The House of Grand Ideas at Grand Designs Live 2023

This year, Grand Designs Live 2023 is proud to introduce it’s first-ever Grand Design – The House of Grand Ideas, presented by energy experts, OVO.

New for 2023, the spectacular show-home which takes centre stage of Grand Designs Live at Birmingham NEC seamlessly blends stunning design and cutting-edge technology while emphasising it’s commitment to decarbonisation and Net Zero living.

All products featured in The House of Grand Ideas will be available for purchase or consultation at Grand Designs Live.

Visitors can expect to embark on a journey through The House of Grand Ideas, beginning with a stunning entrance hall featuring a baby grand piano by Yamaha and a bespoke pendant chandelier from Leverint Lighting, illuminating a ‘Design of the Year’ mural by Graham & Brown.

The tour continues with a breath-taking kitchen by Nolte, outfitted with Miele appliances, a beautifully crafted living space by Penny Ann Interiors, a state-of-the-art cinema room by Jooced, and a whimsical, patterned bedroom by Sparrow & Plumb, complete with a striking copper bath. Luxury wooden flooring and soft wool carpet by Wellington Flooring provide a tactile experience throughout the home.

Visitors will be captivated by the outdoor experience, featuring Millboard cladding, the latest driveway by Vuba, an ice bath by Brass Monkey, an infrared sauna, and a copper outdoor shower.

Grand Designs Live recognises the importance of decarbonisation in securing a sustainable future but acknowledges that it can be a complex subject for consumers. To address this, the event is partnering with energy experts OVO to educate visitors on the benefits and value of implementing technologies such as EV chargers, Zero Emission Boilers, Solar technology, and Heat Pumps into their homes.

OVO experts will offer free one-on-one consultations to help visitors understand how to create their own Grand Design with a focus on decarbonisation and achieving Net Zero.
