Grand Designs houses for sale (and sold)
Fancy buying a property that’s been on Grand Designs? Well, we’ve found five you can buy right now. Plus, we take a look at which homes from the series have come to the market in the past
Despite the ‘forever home’ dream of most folks who appear on Grand Designs, quite a few of the properties featured on the show have, in fact, come onto the market over the years. The sales have been prompted by a variety of causes, from divorce to financial difficulties, the need to accommodate an ageing relative, or just the desire to up sticks and move on.
The papers have recently been full of stories about Edward Short’s attempts to sell his finally completed Chesil Cliff House mega ‘lighthouse’ clifftop project near Croyde in Devon (series 20, episode 6, 2019). But his is not the only Grand Design home up for sale. If the £6.5m price tag for the main house at Chesil Cliff is a little outside your budget, here are four other Grand Designs homes that are also on the market right now.
